![]() ![]() They are a fucking monopoly that should be fucking shut down years now. Secondly, he hired the fucking MOST DISGUSTING COMPANY OF ALL TIME to organize his event, security and shit for him. The only difference is that people who go to metal shows are of a decent age. My point is, 90% of the people don't know why Travis is saying the stuff he is saying, they don't understand that he draws his whe inspiration from metal as far as concerts go. ![]() Imagine if someone DID actually died in there. I grew up in this shit, and went to multiple concerts that bands suggested if nobody died in the crowd the concert would have been a failure. I’m surprised that the Travis Scott vibe would have such a radically different playbook where pushing and shoving from the back is totally normal rather than completely douchey.īro, first of all for all the other people commenting, people who have not been in the metal scene have NO IDEA why travis is saying all this rage and moshing stuff. Seems to me that anyone who was pushing and shoving from the back has some serious reflecting to do on how they came to believe it’s totally cool to just press their body forward into people standing in front of them, as hard as they can, as a way to get themselves closer to the stage. Maybe it just needs to happen to you once to believe it, but as a veteran festival attendee this phenomenon at this scale is bewildering. But I have to say, as someone who’s attended maybe 2500 live and EDM shows, well over 100 festivals, 16 burning mans etc etc that I have a hard time picturing exactly how the entire back of an audience can collectively share the same lack of awareness of personal space, literally ramming their bodies into the backs of other bodies in front of them, claiming the space where another body is already standing rather than trying to navigate around it, at such a massive scale. It makes sense that the focus for accountability would be on organizers, security, and anyone formally tasked with crowd safety and crowd control. It's like he only cares about his ego, not even his physical safety.īut how responsible he is for this is still up in the air for me. And I still think he is garbage reckless weirdo for repeatedly encouraging fans to rush the stage and disregard security and sneak into his shows, like dude doesn't care about his own safety?! Or how about his BM and toddler who were there (I know they have more security than the pope but that was a big crowd)? Like I guess he has some callous disregard for fans but that's weird. I still think he needed to stop the music and a lot of the flashing light show stuff and ask all the people to chill and take a few steps back (not just the people by the ambulances). When/if he knew the venue was dangerously over capacity. When he was aware that deaths had occurred and what his team said to him exactly regarding causing a mass panic. The locations of deaths and serious serious injuries within the crowd.time of deaths of each person to understand what went down and what could have been prevented by him as a performer). When each of the deaths and serious injuries (which will likely be approx) occurred (I think it is important to get the approx.Yeah I will need to know before I can make a judgement on exactly how much is his fault: Travis' hands are not clean because he had multiple opportunities to improve the situation and encourages insane behavior at his shows but the people putting on the event are MUCH more blameworthy IMO. ![]() The crowd cannot move when they try to get into help. Security and EMT's have a hard time getting to the bodies due to the crowd density. But because the crowd was so densely packed they're basically holding each other up so it's like a domino effect turned into a jenga tower of bodies. ![]() What it seems like happened (from a photo where you can see three of the deceased together lying on the ground in the crowd) is that the crowd was crushed at an unsafe capacity and then people started to fall. By no means am I defending Travis because he shares some of the blame, but it's not entirely his fault.Ī lot of the fatalities happened right as his set began (in the first few songs people reported a crowd collapse). ![]()
